India’s Hindustan Newsprint Seeks 50,000 Tons of Imported Coal

Hindustan Newsprint Ltd., a state-owned Indian paper maker, is seeking 50,000 metric tons of imported steam coal of Indonesian origin.

The company, based in the southern state of Kerala, wants to buy Indonesian coal of 5,600 kilocalories a kilogram with sulfur content less than 1 percent, total moisture content of 22 percent and 8 percent ash content, according to a document posted on its website.

Offers must be submitted by Dec. 27, with deliveries expected to begin within 15 days of receiving the letter of intent, according to the document.
