China Shipping Development Co (CSDC) has decided to order three new LNG carriers for work in Russia’s Yamal LNG Project.

Shanghai-listed CSDC announced that the shipbuilding contracts and time charter deals for the three LNG carriers will be officially signed this month.

The three newbuildings will be owned by three single vessel owning joint venture companies, a partnership between CSDC’s China Shipping LNG and Japan’s Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) in Hong Kong.
