China’s Jiangnan Shipyard (Group) Co has clinched an order to build up to two LPG vessels for Hyproc Shipping, an arm of Algeria’s oil and gas firm Sonatrach, reports said.

The order consists of one 11,000-13,000 cu m LPG vessel plus an option for one more sister unit, with a total value of approximately $40m, the local media reported.

Sonatrach, via Hyproc Shipping, currently operates a fleet of 10 LPG carriers.
