This collaboration establishes a long-term strategic partnership between the two parties, integrating their respective capabilities and expertise to elevate Oman's ports into vital global trade hubs, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver premium services to regional customers.

The terminal will promote advanced integrated logistics services and supply chain solutions, while also contributing to the strengthening of new regional and international trade corridors, boosting cargo throughput, and consolidating the connectivity of Oman's ports with global shipping networks and major international markets.

Abdulrahman Al Hatmi, CEO of Asyad Group, stated: "This collaboration embodies Asyad Group's vision of building strategic partnerships with major global enterprises, aimed at enhancing the commercial appeal of Oman's ports and maximising the economic value of its assets. It will open new prospects for attracting trade flows and quality investments to the ports and free economic zones, and strengthen Oman's position in global supply chains, thereby supporting the Sultanate's goal of establishing itself as a core hub of international trade and logistics services."

Rodolphe Saadé, Chairman and CEO of CMA CGM, commented: "This partnership with Asyad Group marks an important step in the development of our logistics and port activities in the Gulf region. By developing a new logistics terminal in Sohar, we will strengthen regional connectivity while ensuring reliable inland access to key trade corridors. This will deliver greater resilience and enhanced efficiency to our customers' supply chains.
