The freight activities began slowing in recent especially in Chinese market, which causing BDI declining to 540 points with a drop of 13 points (-2.35%) on Feb.12, hitting the lowest level since January, 1985.

Shipping brokers noted that the dry bulker shipping market is expected to remain downturn because of weak demand especially demand from China.

BCI slumped 48 points (-7%) to 652 points. The average daily earnings decreased $381 to $6,358.

BPI increased 20 points (54.26%) to 489 points. The average daily earnings increased $163 to $3,911.

BSI dropped 12 points to 496 points. BHSI declined 8 points to 273 points.
