Boosted by the freight rate increase of Panamax carriers and other smaller ships, BDI continued the upward trend and increased 3 points to 335 points on Mar.2 (Wed.).

BCI declined 3 points to 171 points, still the record low. The average daily earnings decreased $36 to $2,291.

Due to weak demand for commodities, especially the demand from China, the major importing countries, the dry bulk market is expected to stay under pressure.

BPI increased 7 points to 364 points. The average daily earnings increased $51 to $2920.

BSI rose 5 points to 350 points. The average daily earnings raised $56 to $3661.

BHSI gained 3 points to 220 points. The average daily earnings increased $50 to $3269.
