Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (SWS) is launched, and the ceremony of its launching is grandly held.

H6002 ULCS is Waigaoqiao’s first 18,000TEU container vessel built for CMA CGM, which is the largest tonnage container vessel under construction in China. Waigaoqiao’s deputy general manager Chen Jun, construction director Wu Yongjun, shipowner, ship surveyor and other relative members attended the ceremony.

It is reported that H6002 ULCS is Waigaoqiao’s first ULCS, and some technologies are first applied in China. H6002 ULCS is successfully launched, which marks that Waigaoqiao becomes the pioneer in container vessel construction sector and fills the gaps of construction of ULCS with high-value.
