The first domestic refrigerated container transport was opened in Nanjing on March 21, 2012.  After numerous consultations and cooperation talks, Mengniu Dairy (Group) Co., Ltd., which has over 20 production bases in 15 provinces has held the launching ceremony together with China Shipping Container Lines at Nanjing Longtan container terminal. This marks the project of cold chain transportation of ice cream has entered the implementation stage formally.

 

Before the ceremony, China Shipping Container Lines, Mengniu Dairy, Longtan Port and client representatives held a meeting together. The representatives from China Shipping Container Lines and Mengniu Dairy stated that they will further deepen the cooperation, and continue to improve the door-to-door refrigerated container transport from the port of delivery to the port of destination to ensure the smooth operation of this project. Nanjing Port promised to provide quality service and guarantee to ships for this project.
