Friday saw Hong Kong liner OOCL join other liners in raising rates on the Asia-Europe tradelane.
“In order to continue providing quality and sustainable services, we are announcing a revenue restoration program,” the Tung family controlled line said in a release. The company is seeking an extra $700 per teu from March 15, slightly less than other recently announced rate hikes on the same route, Hapag-Lloyd pitching a $750 increase and Cosco asking for $775 more.
