The Baltic and International Maritime Council (BIMCO) Shanghai Centre was inaugurated yesterday. This is the first internationally recognized maritime organization entering Shanghai, and it will help enhance the shipping center position of Shanghai.

It is reported that, BIMCO plans to bring its advanced maritime service experience and operation mode into China in five years. Especially it focuses on the fields of international shipping finance and insurance, shipping service and exchange, and maritime law. With the worldwide influence of BIMCO, Shanghai will see a brighter future as an important center of global shipping business.
