China surpassed USA to Become the Biggest Net Oil Importer

Since the 70’s last century, USA has been the world biggest oil import country. However, China now has replaced USA to become the biggest importer.

According to the statistics provided by Energy Information Administration of USA, America’s net oil import in December last year fell to 5.98 million barrels per day, reaching the lowest level since February 1992. On the other side, data from Customs of the People’s Republic of China showed that net import of CNPC in the same period increased to 6.12 million barrels per day. What’s more, data of January climbed further to 6.3 million barrels per day.
