Dalian: The north China port city, Tianjin, is to build no less than five natural gas power plants by the end of 2015, according to Shanghai-based energy consultancy ICIS C1 Energy.
The projects will be funded and built by the five leading power generation companies of the nation: China Guodian Corp, China Huadian Corp, China Datang Corp, China Huaneng Group and China Power Investment Corp.
Resources for the projects include a pipeline for natural gas from CNPC and liquefied natural gas in Tianjin port from CNOOC.
