By the end of the 12th Five-Year period（2011-2015）, Weifang City has invested 10 billion on port construction projects. 13 more berths of 5000 tonnages and 19 more berths over 20000 tonnages have been newly built. Port capacity has developed to 53 million tonnages and 0.4 million TEU.

This year Weifang City plans to complete 1.34 billion of investment, 6 newly started construction projects, 2 completed projects, 12 more berths and 13.56 million tonnages increase of port capacity.
