Xiamen Shipbuilding Bags Order for Ten PSVs

Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry, a subsidiary of Fujian Shipbuilding Industry Group Corporation, has secured contracts for construction of ten platform supply vessels (PSV) from two clients, Nam Cheong and MK Marine, Eshiptrading writes.

Accordingly, MK Marine has opted for four Xiamen design PSVs of 78M. This type of PSV encompasses 8m in length and 18.6m in breadth, and has the capability to reach 13 knots of operating speed. The second order from Nam Cheong relates to building of four 78M PSVs and two 75M type. The 75M PSV is characterized by somewhat reduced capabilities. With 8m breadth and 17.25m height it can achieve a speed of 12.5 knots.

The Chinese shipbuilder, engages in the design, development, production, and construction of ships such as container and multipurpose container vessels, double skin bulk carriers, and car loading vessels but it is also engaged in steel construction and installation, along with ship repair.
