China Reduces Brazil’s Iron Ore Purchase Amount

According to official data from Brazilian Customs on 22th April, China’s iron or import volume increased by 2.93% year-on-year in March. However, the import volume from Australia climbed while that from Brazil declined.

March saw a total of 64.55 million tons iron ore import of China, of which 11.78 million tons were purchased from Brazil, 4.6% less than the same period in 2012.
