CIMC Raffles wins jack-up

Yantai-based CIMC Raffles has won a bid to construct a jack-up drilling platform for Sinopec, which will be operated in China’s second largest oil field, Shengli, in China.

The jack-up unit, Shengli 11, 56 m in length and 54 m in width, is capable of working at water depths up to 50 m with a maximum drilling depth of 7,000 m. The platform is designed and constructed in line with the existing standard of the Maritime Safety Administration and CCS.

Shengli 1to Shengli 11 are a series of jack-up drilling platforms for the works at Bohai under Sinopec.
