SITC Maritime Group has recently published the performance in first quarter this year, indicating that the profit gained in Q1 has increased by 33% to $17.9 million. The company’s revenue also climbed by 1% to $286 million, and the cost relatively rose to $2607 million.

SITC now has a total of 60 vessels operated on 52 routes, and the carrying capacity can reach 61200 TEU. In Q1 this year the shipment volume increased by 12.7% to 458400 TEU, while the freight rate dropped by 10.3% to $499 per TEU.
