2013-05-07

China’s soybean import in May 2013 is seemed to reach approximately 5.65 million tons, slightly higher than 5.3-5.5 million tons that predicted before. This is the current highest monthly import level, and also exceeds the same period last year. The shortage of soybean supply will be relived to some degree.

Next two months will see a further increase of soybean import with less port congestion in ports of South America. It is predicted that the import volume will arrive at 5.8 million tons in June and 5.8-6 million tons in July.
