Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding (SWS) turned out to have extended expiration date of an option for jackup drilling platform signed with Prospector Offshore Drilling S.A. (PROS).

The Chinese shipbuilder entered into an agreement for an option of jackup drilling platform with Prospector Offshore Drilling S.A. in July, 2011, with exploration date of December 31, 2013, which has been extended till June 30, 2014.

Meanwhile, PROS has secured only one units of drilling platform in its fleet and penned newbuilding orders for four JU2000E-design jackup drilling platforms so far.
