Jinling inks UAE Ultramax BC

2014-07-25

CSC Jinling Shipyard of China has allegedly won a new contract for building one 64,000 dwt bulker from UAE-based Densay Shipping & Trading DMCC.

IHS reported that the Ultramax bulker will be built based on ‘Dolphin 64’ design for delivery in February 2017 to be registered as Marshall Islands-flagged.

Newbuilding is said to be classed by Lloyd's Register of the UK without its newbuilding price unveiled.

Meanwhile, CSC Jinling and the owner were said to have entered into a newbuilding agreement for two 64,000 dwt bulkers in March this year. The bulker duo are slated for delivery between August 2016 and January 2017.

Back in March, the UAE-based shipowner took delivery of ‘SSI Dignity’ from the same yard, which is a 81,600 dwt Kamsarmax bulker placed in the mid-2012.
