China’s largest oil tanker delivered with the load displacement as 7 “Liaoning”

New Laurel, China’s largest oil tanker ever designed and built by Guangzhou Shipyard International (GSI) for China merchants energy transport co., LTD, docks at GSI’s Nansha port and sets to sail, November 5, 2014. The ship was delivered to its buyer China merchants energy transport co., LTDin Guangzhou.

This ship records 320,000 tons of tonnage, 333 meters of length and 60 meters of width, which is 26 meters longer and10 meters narrower than China’s Liaoning ship (307 meters long, 70 meters wide). And its load displacement is seven times larger than Liaoning ship. With 22,000 miles of cruising range, it can sail for one circle around the earth equator without refueling on halfway.
