ZPMC Profundo to charter offshore construction vessel from OLC

2014-12-05

A joint venture subsidiary of Shanghai Zhenhua Shipping and Shenzhen’s Profundo Offshore Contractor has sealed a five-year charter deal with Offshore Logistics Company (OLC) for its offshore construction vessel.

OLC, a subsidiary of Germany’s RWE Innogy, will deliver the vessel to the Chinese joint venture firm ZPMC Profundo Wind Energy in early 2015 for work in China and Asian offshore markets.

ZPMC Profundo Wind Energy aims to entrench its position in the Asian offshore windfarm sector with the charter of the construction vessel Friedrich Ernestine, the company announced at a recent industry forum held in Beijing.

“We look forward to the arrival of the Friedrich Ernestine in China and the start of our cooperation with RWE OLC to bring clean, green, and affordable energy to Asia,” said Eric Zhan, ceo of ZPMC Profundo Wind Energy.
