Navios Maritime Partners has announced it has the option to purchase a chartered 13,100 teu container vesselsfor $147.8m.

The ship, which has 12 years of employment at $60,275 net per day, was built in 2012 in Korea and has charter coverage through to 2027 with an option for Navios to exit the charter at year seven.

The company has until 5 June 2015 to exercise the acquisition option, and should it pull the trigger the ship will be delivered in Q3 2015.
