The new cfo of Maersk Line will be current vp and regional cfo of Hewlett Packard (HP) EMEA, Pierre Danet.

Maersk's chief strategy, finance and transformation officer, Jakob Stausholm will continue with the company as chief strategy and transformation officer.

Danet, a veteran of HP and Procter and Gamble, will take up the role at the Danish giant on 7 April 2015. The 44 year-old Frenchman is a married father of three, and hold and MBA from International business school ESSEC in France.

Maersk Line profit was up 50% in 2014, reaching $2.3bn.
