2015-12-16

Crude oil tanker company DHT Holdings, Inc. (DHT) has extended time-charters for three of its Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCCs) to undisclosed oil majors.

The vessels in question pertain to the Samco fleet, those being the French-flagged 2007-built Samco Europe, Marshal Islands-flagged Samco Taiga built in 2012 and French-flagged Samco Redwood built in 2011.

The charters have been extended for one, two and two years respectively at a daily rate of USD 53,200, USD 45,000 and USD 47,300 respectively.

The contract extensions secure 1,800 days of time-charter equivalent earnings at a combined value of about USD 85 million, the company said.

DHT Holdings has 19 tankers in its fleet and five newbuilds at Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) scheduled for delivery in 2016.
