Stolt-Nielsen chairman Ollson dies

2016-01-05

The chairman of Stolt-Nielsen Christer Ollson passed away at the age of 70 on 31 December 2015.

Ollson had been a director of Stolt-Nielsen since 1993 and chairman since December 2009 when he took over from the company’s founder Jacob Stolt-Nielsen.

"For more than two decades, Christer provided constructive guidance and thoughtful insights to board discussions, helping the company to capitalise on opportunities as well as overcome challenges," said ceo Niels G. Stolt-Nielsen. "Christer has been a trusted support to me since he first was elected to the board. His presence will be greatly missed."

A chairman will be elected at Stolt Nielsen’s annual general meeting in April.
