Eagle Bulk buys another week in creditor discussions

2016-02-24

Eagle Bulk Shipping has bought itself another week in its negotiations with its creditors.

The US-listed dry bulk shipping company extended a forebearance and standstill agreement which was due to expire on 23 February for one week until 1 March.

It is the third time the agreement has been extended as Eagle Bulk seeks financing alternatives.

The company has already undergone Chapter 11 bankruptcy restructuring in 2014.
