Worldscale rates for voyages involving multiple Indian ports are set to rise due to “a significant increase in port tariffs,” the Worldscale Association said in four circulars Tuesday.
Worldscale flat rates will rise by $0.22/mt for all foreign voyages at Vadinar Terminal and the Essar single-buoy mooring at Vadinar. At the Essar terminal at Vadinar rates will rise by $0.31/mt for foreign voyages and by $0.12/mt for coastwise voyages.
Rates will also rise by $0.31/mt for foreign voyages and by $0.12/mt for coastwise voyages at Kandla.
The association said the changes will be effective on all voyages on which loading begins on or after August 11.
