Iraq will export 3.257 million b/d of Basrah crude oil in September, up 13% from the August program, with both Basrah Light and Basrah Heavy seeing a rise in volumes, according to the latest provisional loading schedule seen by Platts.
September nominations cover exports of 97.715 million barrels of crude.
The September program comprises 2.324 million b/d of Basrah Light and 933,333 b/d of Basrah Heavy, according to the schedule.
August export nominations were 86.415 million barrels, or 2.788 million b/d, comprising 2.078 million b/d of Basrah Light and 710,000 b/d of Basrah Heavy exports.
Industry sources said the August loading program was light because of delays caused by a leak in a pipeline carrying Basrah Light crude.
