Veritas Petroleum Services endorses new procedure for Surveyors working with Mass Flow Meter

Veritas Petroleum Services has been in the forefront of bunker quantity surveying work since we started this service 30 years ago. During this time, we have completed in excess of 80,000 surveys in over 200 international ports. In Singapore, where the use of Mass Flow Meters (MFM) will become mandatory from 1st January 2017, VPS has been working closely with The International Bunker Industry Association (IBIA) to develop a comprehensive Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for Surveyor’s work when using MFM. This SOP is now completed and released by IBIA today, 7th September 2016.

VPS strongly encourage the shipping industry to use this SOP for monitoring MFM delivery in Singapore & other ports of call. This will support the correct operational use of the MFM and most importantly provide the necessary evidence in dispute resolution. VPS provides bunker surveys with own in-house surveyors in the key ports of Singapore, Fujairah, Rotterdam & Houston where our offices & laboratories are based. Additionally, all other bunker ports are also covered by our service.
