MSC Upgrades Asia-USWC/Canada Services

Switzerland-based Mediterranean Shipping Company plans to revise its services connecting Asia and US West Coast/Canada, starting from the middle of December 2016 with departures from Asia.

The services undergoing change are New Orient, New Eagle and Maple.

MSC said its New Orient and New Eagle services will be renamed Orient and Eagle, respectively. Eagle trade will offer a direct service to Vancouver and Seattle, while Orient will offer a service to Long Beach.

Orient service will connect ports of Singapore, Qingdao, Shanghai, Busan, Long Beach, Shanghai, Xiamen, Kaohsiung, Chiwan, Yantian and Vung Tau, returning to Singapore.

The revised Eagle service will link the ports of Kaohsiung, Yantian, Xiamen, Shanghai, Busan, Vancouver, Seattle, Yokohama, Busan and Kaohsiung.

Maple, the service connecting Asia and Canada, will call Prince Rupert and Vancouver, with the following port rotation: Nansha, Yantian, Ningbo, Shanghai, Busan, Prince Rupert, Vancouver, Busan, Nansha.

MSC added that the Pearl and Jaguar services on the same route will remain unchanged, with port rotation of the Pearl service including ports of Singapore, Nansha, Hong Kong, Yantian, Xiamen, Los Angeles, Oakland, Yokohama, Ningbo, Shanghai, Chiwan, Yantian, Tanjung Pelepas.

The company’s Jaguar service has the following port rotation: Tanjung Pelepas, Vung Tau, Chiwan, Ningbo, Shanghai, Yokohama, Long Beach, Oakland, Busan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Chiwan, Singapore.
