Minsheng Orders RoRo Quartet from Chongqing Chuandong

China’s Minsheng Shipping ordered four roll-on/roll-off (RoRo) vessels from its compatriot shipbuilder Chongqing Chuandong on December 26, 2016, according to information provided by VesselsValue.

The value of the order was not revealed.

All four ships will have a capacity of 7,500 gross tons, with one of them scheduled for delivery in October, one in November and two in December 2017.

Each of the RoRo vessels will feature a length of 110 meters and a width of 17.2 meters.

Established in 1925, Minsheng owns more than 60 vessels, according to the company’s data.

Chongqing Chuandong currently has two small chemical tankers under construction, scheduled for delivery this January. The ships are being built for Shanghai Sanhan Shipping from China, VesselsValue’s data shows.
