Dry Bulk FFA: Capesize Market Unwinds

Capesize FFA Commentary:

A small slide in the physical market was mirrored on the FFAs which tracked a little lower in the morning session but failed to move too far. The paper may however run into more selling interest early next week as many felt the indices were still over marked. Good weekend to all.

Panamax FFA Commentary:

The tone remained positive again today on Panamax paper with further gains added across the curve as expectation builds on the back of improved activity in both basins at the tail end of the week. Notably Feb and Q2 traded up to $7900 and $8650 highs respectively while Cal18 tested resistance at $9000. Good weekend to all.

Supramax FFA Commentary

Yesterdays closing support spilled over into some better buying today on Supramax paper with small gains seen across the curve as the index begins to flatten out. Interest remained focused on the prompts with Feb trading up to $7150 while further out Cal18 printed $8400 high. Buyers remained present at last done to the close with sellers happy to hold off. Good weekend to all.

Handysize FFA Commentary

Handy paper continues to see good support across the curve but with a lack of selling appetite we saw no reported trading.
