The bunker market at Gothenburg, Sweden, was experiencing rough weather and high levels of buying appetite, sources said Monday.
“There is very strong demand,” a trader said.
This was reiterated by a supplier.
High demand has not yet been dented by bad weather.
“Weather conditions will be rough for the next 24 hours,” a supplier said.
The average wind speed at the port Monday afternoon was 28 knots/hour (53km/h) and waves measured around 3 meters, according to weather reports.
On the bearish side, suppliers and traders said availability was good.
Indications for 380 CST fuel oil at the port were heard pegged at $305-$320/mt delivered Monday. Prices were assessed at the port Friday at $309/mt delivered.
