Russia increased wheat exports by 9%

According to Russia’s Ag Ministry, Russia exported 26.3 MMT of wheat in 2016/17 season by June 14, or up 9% from last year, reports UkrAgroConsult.

In total, according to the Federal Customs Service, 34.3 MMT of grains were shipped abroad by June 14, 2017 (up 3% year-on-year), including 26.3 MMT of wheat, 4.9 MMT of corn and 2.8 MMT of barley.

Russia exported 33.3 MMT of grains by June 15, 2016, including 24.1 MMT of wheat. Last season’s grain exports totaled 33.9 MMT, including 25 MMT of wheat.

The Russian AG Ministry expects that 35 MMT of grains will be exported this season, including 27 MMT of wheat.
