Dry Bulk FFA: Capesize Market On Slow Start to the Week

2017-06-28

Capesize FFA Commentary:

Capes never got going today as Singapore holidays curtained activity in the Pacific with many paper traders content to keep their powder dry until everyone returned to their desks. What minimal activity did go through was at marginally softer levels and was restricted to the prompt contracts. Have a good evening.

Panamax FFA Commentary:

It was a sluggish opening to the week on Panamax paper with levels easing throughout the day on light volume as the index continues to flatten out. July and Q3 traded down to $9250 lows before finding some support while further out losses were more gradual as prompts were main focus.

Supramax FFA Commentary:

With the Singapore holiday today the Supramax paper week struggled to generate much interest from start to finish. The day saw rates drift as the curve softened but with very little activity. Hopefully tomorrow can bring some much needed inspiration to kick start the week. Have a good evening.

Handysize FFA Commentary:

Very dull and quiet start to the handysize week, with very little interest throughout. No reported trades.
