On May 11, the Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) AGIOS FANOURIOS I (IMO: 9759824) successfully transited the Strait of Hormuz on May 10 via the corridor designated by Iran. The tanker is now proceeding through the Gulf of Oman bound for Vietnam.

According to Equasis data, the vessel is owned by ST FANOURIOS and managed by EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN MARITIME, both of which are based in Greece.

The tanker, which loaded a cargo of Basrah Medium crude oil on April 17, had made at least two previous unsuccessful attempts to transit the strait.
