The service plans to deploy nearly ten 15,000 TEU large vessels, offering transit times seven to ten days faster than conventional routes.

The recent call of the ZIM Thailand at the Xiamen Port International Container Terminal marks the resumption of ZIM's ZXB e-commerce express service to the US East Coast. This further refines the global route network of Xiamen Port and opens a "maritime golden express corridor" across the Pacific directly to the US East Coast for cross-border e-commerce enterprises along the southeastern coast of China.

The ZXB service is an independently operated ZIM e-commerce express line to the US East Coast. Its rotation starts from Singapore, calls at Shenzhen and Xiamen in China via Vietnam, then transits the Panama Canal, sailing directly to Charleston, Savannah, New York, and Boston on the US East Coast, before returning to Singapore via the Cape of Good Hope, forming a weekly fixed-day loop. Cargo departing from Xiamen Port does not require transshipment, with the fastest transit time to US East Coast ports estimated at 27 days.

Using US East Coast ports as hubs, the service further covers key inland cities on the East Coast such as Atlanta and Charlotte, building a comprehensive logistics network of "direct port calls plus full inland coverage" and broadening the logistical reach of Xiamen Port for trade with the US.

Wei Jiangbo, Deputy Manager of the Operations Department at Xiamen International Container Terminal, explained: "This service primarily handles cross-border e-commerce goods, new energy vehicle parts, yachts, machinery and equipment, as well as high-value consumer goods. Additionally, we support compliant dangerous goods, cold chain, and special container shipments, fully covering the US East Coast market and meeting diverse shipping needs."

He further noted that the service plans to deploy nearly ten 15,000 TEU large vessels, offering ample capacity and stable schedules. Compared with previous US East Coast services, the ZXB route is seven to ten days faster. For businesses, time is cost, and this route will ensure that "Fujian-quality products" reach the US East Coast more quickly.

Furthermore, in coordination with the ZXB e-commerce express service and with the support of port authorities, the terminal employs a "green channel" and priority operations mechanism, enabling vessels to achieve "zero waiting time upon arrival and zero delays upon departure."
