Key officials from the Foreign Capital Department (FDI Department) of China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) recently held separate working meetings with representatives from Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) and the Maersk Group, according to a notice published on the NDRC's official website on March 10.

The discussions, led by the principal head of the FDI Department, focused on pertinent issues related to international shipping and investment.

These meetings come just one day after China's Ministry of Transport held regulatory talks with senior representatives from both Maersk and MSC on March 9, 2026.
