A moderate amount of dry bulk vessels were chartered in the spot market today, but only a few capesize vessels were chartered to haul iron ore cargoes. This has caused capesize rates to come under a small amount of pressure. Rates for the rest of the dry bulk vessel classes have been able to find more support today, though, as healthy demand for coal, grain, and mineral cargoes has continued.
