COSCO SHIPPING Opens New Food-Grade Tank Container Route to Europe
Recently, cosco shipping successfully completed the maiden voyage of its "Wuhan—Europe" food-grade tank container export service, marking a new breakthrough in cross-border logistics services for food-grade tank containers in the Wuhan region.
Throughout the process—from the urgent deployment of tank containers and loading at the factory, to the vessel's departure from the terminal bound for Europe—every link connected smoothly and was completed entirely according to plan. This once again demonstrated cosco shipping's integrated synergy advantage of "Shipping + Port + Logistics."

This maiden service was collaboratively executed by Cosco Shipping Lines Wuhan, Hubei Cosco Shipping Logistics Supply Chain, Cosco Shipping Ports Wuhan Terminal, and Shanghai Cosco Shipping Tank Logistics. A dedicated service team formed by the four parties focused on rapid response and full-chain assurance, effectively solving numerous challenges for the customer, including difficulties in allocating tank resources at inland ports, complex coordination of cross-border logistics processes, and the high complexity of full-process customs declaration control.

Cosco Shipping Lines Wuhan coordinated trucking, barge, and ocean shipping links, forming a service chain from tank supply to full-process customs clearance.
Hubei Cosco Shipping Logistics Supply Chain coordinated inland transportation resources, optimized routes, and tracked tank container status.
Shanghai Cosco Shipping Tank Logistics urgently deployed food-grade tank containers.
Cosco Shipping Ports Wuhan Terminal opened a green channel and optimized operational procedures to ensure smooth connections between container pickup, loading, and customs declaration.
It is reported that the food-grade tank containers used in this maiden voyage strictly adhere to food-grade safety certification standards. The inner walls of the tanks are made of food-grade materials, featuring high sealing and anti-contamination properties, ensuring the safety of food cargo transportation throughout the journey and meeting the stringent requirements of the European market for food-grade products.
