Strong alliance! Greek Venergy chooses Chinese shipyard for its newbuilding order!
On April 1, Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (SWS), a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), together with China Shipbuilding Trading Co., Ltd. (CSTC), officially signed a construction contract for two Suezmax crude oil tankers with Greek shipping company Venergy Maritime Limited. The signing ceremony was attended by Chen Gang, Chairman of SWS, representatives from CSTC, shipowner representatives, and heads of relevant departments.

This signing marks the first partnership between SWS and Venergy Maritime Limited. For SWS, it represents an important milestone in expanding its global customer network; for Venergy, it is a key move in its fleet upgrade strategy. The two parties will take this cooperation as a starting point to explore broader collaboration opportunities, jointly seizing the opportunities brought by the green transformation and digital revolution in the shipping industry.
Venergy Maritime Limited is a Greek shipping company founded in 2021. It is part of the Vasileiadis Group (V Group), founded and led by Vyron Vasileiadis.
