Subsea7 has officially announced that, following a competitive tender process, it has been awarded a super-major contract by Petrobras valued in excess of $1.25 billion.

on April 9, Subsea7 was awarded an offshore contract by Petrobras to provide services for the Sépia 2 field, located approximately 280 kilometers southeast of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Under the terms of the contract, Subsea7's scope of work encompasses the engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, and pre-commissioning of the subsea umbilicals, risers, and flowlines (SURF) for 17 wells, including two wells from the Sépia 1 project and a gas export line equipped with 18 risers.

Project management and engineering activities will commence immediately from Subsea7's offices in Rio de Janeiro, Paris, and Sutton, with offshore operations scheduled to commence in 2029.
