Hengli Heavy Industries Kicks Off May with Four New Orders and Two Deliveries
According to Hengli Heavy Industries, the company held a naming ceremony on May 5 for two 82,000 dwt bulk carriers.

Both vessels were built for Dynacom Tankers Management and successfully completed high-quality construction on Hengli Heavy's slipways. Dynacom is one of Hengli's first international clients and an important strategic partner. The very first self-developed 306,000 dwt VLCC built by Hengli was also constructed for Dynacom, and the two companies now have a total of 16 VLCCs in their partnership.
Godmother Evangelia Mousi named and cut the cords for the two newbuildings, which were christened OTHONOI and ZAKYNTHOS, respectively.

To date, two 306,000 dwt VLCCs and eleven 82,000 dwt bulk carriers built by Hengli Heavy for Dynacom have been completed and delivered.

On the same day, Hengli Heavy also signed a contract for 2+2 158,000 dwt Suezmax tankers. The partner, Beacon Tankers, is a well-known European owner, and this marks the first collaboration between Hengli Heavy and Beacon.
So far this year, Hengli Heavy has secured contracts for a total of 20 Suezmax tankers, all of which are the company's own in-house designs. This facilitates rhythmic, batch production, establishing the Suezmax as a staple vessel type for the shipyard.
