Delivered 10 Months Ahead of Schedule! 319,000 DWT Ammonia-Ready Vessel Delivered

On June 10, CSSC Beihai Shipbuilding, together with China Shipbuilding Trading, successfully delivered the 319,000 DWT green, environmentally friendly, ammonia-ready Very Large Crude Carrier MORINI to EURONAV, a subsidiary of Belgium's CMB.TECH.

The MORINI is the fourth vessel in a series of five ammonia-ready VLCCs being built by Beihai Shipbuilding for EURONAV. During the construction process, the project team achieved multiple breakthroughs:
Through scientific process planning and coordination across various trades, all ballast tank scaffolding was dismantled while the vessel was still in the dry dock. The out-docking integrity score reached 93 points, setting a new record for this series.
All quayside commissioning and testing was completed in just 43 days, significantly shortening the average cycle compared with the first three vessels in the series.
Despite encountering continuous heavy fog and rain following the sea trials, the team swiftly activated a dynamic adjustment mechanism, ultimately delivering the vessel 10 months ahead of the contractual delivery date.
