It is reported that Shanghai’s Pudong New area plans to establish two shipping bases in Yangjing area and Lujiazui area respectively.

Lin Weijun, the deputy director of Shipping centre office in Pudong New area said, according to the planning, the two shipping bases include Yangjing international innovation pilot area and Shanghai shipping financial centre.

Now, the largest shipping broker--Braemar and ACM, The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, Maritime London and other international shipping organizations have already expressed interest in settling into Shanghai international shipping center.

In present world, about half of the Ship transactions are conducted in London.

Base on the experience of London international shipping center, Shanghai Shipping Financial industry center will turn to be an area resembling CBD in shipping industry.
