China COSCO Holdings has placed orders for six Kamsarmaxes and four Newcastlemaxes at Chinese shipyards operating as part of the China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC).

The six Kamsarmax newbuilds will cost an aggregate of $188.9M, with the costs of the four Newcastlemaxes being $231.6M.

The newbuilding orders are part of plans to replenish China COSCO's bulk carrier capacity as the company is currently scrapping its aged bulker fleet.
