Li Yining

China's Renowned Economist Honorary Dean, Guanghua School of Management, Peking University, Li Yining said that China has missed the best opportunity to reform due to blind pursuit of rapid growth of GDP.

For now, what matters is not whether China has the ability to realize the growth of 10% or more but that we should slow our steps. Given we realized this goal, we need to pay a lot in our economy, which is be worth the candle.

For China, the most rational economic growth in the next few years is 6.5%-7%, which we can achieve and still higher than the world average. This level is good for the economy structural adjustment. Even in next few years, the GDP growth in China will keep declining, better at 5%-6%.
