Recently, Shenzhen Chiwan Container Terminal has witnessed the berthing of “CMA CGM CHRISTOPHER COLUMBUS”. As one of the largest container ship in the world, it belongs to CMA CGM, and is 365.5 meters long, 51.2 meters wide with the draft of 15.5 meters and the maximum load of 13,346 standard containers. This is the first time for it to enter China from the harbor area in the west of Shenzhen. It will load and unload of a total 1561 units.

Through quarantine, the health of the ship is in good condition; health documents of crew are complete; the traces of insects, rats, mosquitoes and other vector have not been found; the internal management is strict; the standing book of food purchase and storage is clear; and the disposal measures of wastes are effective. The officers have issued the free pratique on spot, permitting it to apply for Sanitary Certificate For Conveyance.
