Analysis of Newbuilding Market (2012.3.8-3.14)

A total of 9 deals have been made in the newbuilding market within this week. The highlight was that NSCSA ordered five 82,000-DWT Kamsarmax from Oshima. The ships will adopt the design of low fuel consumption, and it is learned that the price of a single vessel is US$ 31.5 million, US$ 3.5 million higher than the same type of ship orders taken by Chinese ship yards. The delivery of new vessels is scheduled in the middle of 2014.
